Just found usability.gov while searching for some usability guidelines on page length. Usability.gov has listed a great number of usability guidelines and also indicates how important these guidelines are.

Andrej – Thanks so much for the mention. But I wanted to alert you to an even newer set of guidelines. We have published a book – working on the second printing now – and have taken that book and placed it online in PDF form.

The site is also being developed into an interactive site so that users can use a database to look up certain guidelines as they relate to certain scenarios. And hopefully even customize the guidelines into what is most important as it relates to their own site.

    Stay tuned! And thanks again.

I first landed on the guidelines page through google, and was wondering why i couldn’t easily get to it from your home page. I like the guidelines page very much, all the important rules listed on one page, so that’s why i linked it. Honestly, i think the new index page for your guidelines is less usable.
